Everything You Need to Know
From accommodations and itineraries to payments and group size, here’s everything you need to know before you book.
Frequently asked questions
Which airport should I fly into?
Bali’s main international airport is Ngurah Rai (DPS). We would highly recommend flying in the day before your week is due to start and booking transitionary (e.g. hotel or AirBnb) accommodation for the night so that you do not miss any of the activities on the first day and are on time for check-in.
Can I book a room with my friend?
Absolutely! You can book a room for you and a friend as a pair where you will then be placed in a villa with other room bookers. You can either book 1 room between the two of you or choose to have 1 room for yourselves each.
When is the best time to visit Bali for an "Escape"?
Bali is a year-round destination, but your experience will change with the seasons:
-
Dry Season (April to October): This is the “classic” Bali weather—plenty of sun, lower humidity, and perfect conditions for surfing or hiking Mount Batur.
-
Wet Season (November to March): You’ll see more tropical rain, but it usually comes in short, heavy bursts followed by sunshine. This is the best time for lush, green landscapes, fewer crowds, and lower booking rates.
Where are the villas located?
All of our villas are located in the Canggu area (Bali’s hotspot!). It’s about a 45 min drive from the airport to Canggu, depending on the time of day that you arrive.
Do I need a visa to enter Bali?
Most travelers enter using a Visa on Arrival (VoA), which is valid for 30 days and can be extended once.
Visa on Arrival (VoA) policies depend entirely on which passport you hold. However, many countries are famous for offering this convenience to a wide range of nationalities to encourage tourism.
Below is a breakdown of major VoA destinations as of early 2026.
🌏 Popular Asia-Pacific Destinations
-
Indonesia: Very popular for Bali. Most nationalities can get a 30-day VoA (approx. $35 USD).
-
Thailand: Offers VoA for many countries, though they frequently run “Visa-Free” promotions (currently free for many through 2026).
-
Maldives: Offers a free 30-day visa on arrival for almost all nationalities.
-
Cambodia: 30-day tourist VoA (approx. $30 USD).
-
Laos: Available at most international airports and borders (approx. $30-$40 USD).
-
Sri Lanka: Requires a quick “ETA” (Electronic Travel Authorization) done online before or at arrival.
🌍 Middle East & Africa
-
Jordan: Available at Queen Alia International Airport for most Western and Asian passports.
-
Egypt: Most travelers can get a 30-day VoA for $25 USD.
-
Seychelles: Technically a “Visitor’s Permit” granted on arrival for free to all nationalities.
-
Tanzania: Popular for Safaris and Zanzibar; VoA is available for many for $50 USD.
-
Ethiopia: VoA is available, though e-Visas are now the preferred method.
Pro Tip: Save time at the airport by applying for your e-VoA and paying the mandatory Bali Tourist Levy online before you fly. Also, ensure your passport has at least 6 months of validity remaining, or the airlines might not let you board!
